During the month of March, I’m highlighting who I consider to be dope-ass female authors. Today, I’m shining the spotlight on Shonda Rhimes.
Shonda Rhimes(@shondarhimes) is a television producer and writer and author. Rhimes is the creator, head writer, executive producer and showrunner of the medical drama television series Grey’s Anatomy, its spin-off Private Practice and the political thriller series Scandal. In May 2007, Rhimes was named one of Time magazine’s 100 People Who Help Shape The World.
Rhimes’s efforts have garnered much recognition, including several GLAAD Media and NAACP Image Awards for her tackling of important issues in terms of race and sexuality.
Her Book, Year of Yes “details how her entire life changed when she committed to saying “yes” to everything for one year.”
